Spring Lip Trends for the Win
Candy Apple Red
As true of a red as it gets! It's timeless and versatile- add a smokey eye for a rock n roll vibe or give it a matte finish for a fashionable yet subdued daytime look. Since this is a look that's best done with care and precision, Yadim, the makeup artist for DKNY's spring 2016 show advises, "Gently press a 2-ply tissue on the lips, dab a powder puff on top, remove the tissue and then apply the lipstick. Repeat this two or three times until desired hue is achieved."

A matte icy pink or vibrant coral lipstick is totally 60's chic, especially when paired with a light cat eye. Kate Spade's spring runway show featured icy matte pink lips with metallic silver eyeliner for an unexpectedly cool look that's easy enough to try at home.

Deep Hues for Spring
Ignore the conventional pastel colors of the season and go bold with a deep purple or red. This is the perfect look for anybody who isn't quite ready to say buh-bye to rich and dark winter colors (aka all of us). Keep things fresh with illuminated skin and simple eye makeup.
